Shakans’ Salad Dressing


  • 1 dessert spoon Tahini

  • 1 glove garlic crushed

  • 1 small knob ginger - Grate finely and squeeze juice on to tahini discard pulp

  • Pinch Salt

  • Pepper freshly ground

  • 50 ml Apple Cider vinegar

  • 200 ml Olive Oil cold pressed


  • Place your tahini, crushed garlic, ginger juice and apple cider vinegar in your mixing bowl. Stir together with your whisk.

  • Slowly add olive oil whisking thoroughly so your mixture emulsifies

  • If your mixture gets too thick add 1 tablespoon warm water to thin it out

Season with salt and pepper to taste

This is my favourite salad dressing. I met Shakan while I was travelling in New Zealand when i was in my 20's and he was kind enough to share it with me. It’s delicious.
